Acoustic membrane for concrete slab floor systems
SONOpro is a lightweight, easy-to-install underlayment membrane. It has been specifically designed to absorb impact noise beneath concrete, lightweight concrete, or self-leveling screeds (for example, a 1.5" screed in wood-frame constructions). It can also be installed under laminate flooring.
Made of polyester acoustic fiber that effectively absorbs impact noise, and a high-quality polyethylene vapor barrier, SONOpro is the #1 membrane for eliminating impact sound.
Benefits:
• Specifically designed for wood-frame and/or mass timber constructions.
• Decouples concrete, self-leveling screeds, or gypsum- and lightweight concrete-based mixes from the structure.
• Promotes better concrete curing.
• Will not compress over time and maintains its soundproofing properties.
• Ensures a continuous soundproofing barrier.
• Easily extends up walls and around edges and tracks.
• Lightweight for quick and easy installation.
• Proudly made in Quebec.

Ease of executing the rises along the edges of the walls to create a 90-degree angle. The concrete thus takes up the entire space to ensure constant and continuous soundproofing, even at the perimeter. Project: MRC des Érables, Plessisville.
